Witchy Wins-day: Which Witch Guessing Game (and a $40 Archibald's Restaurant giveaway!)

What a month it has been! We've counted corns, done a little witchin' fishin', and whipped up a recipe or two with our wild witches. It's hard to believe our Witchy Wins-days are already coming to a close. But, before our witches fly off for another season, we have one more bit o' witch trivia for you. And one more Witchy Wins-day giveaway. How does $40 to Archibald's Restaurant sound? Mmmm...mmm...good!

Question: Can you match the witch with her shoes?

The names of our cackling cuties (in this pic) are:

1. Brazzilla
2. Encora
3. Warped
4. Lucinda
5. Perfecta

To Enter
Simply leave a comment matching the number above with the letter of the shoe you think it goes with. Ex. 1/A, 2/D, etc. You can either do this in the comments section of this post (no annonymous comments, please; include your name if you aren't logged in), or you can email your guesses to marketing@gardnervillage.com (Which Witch in the subject line). We'll randomly select a winner from the correct guesses received (or closest guesses). You have until Monday, Nov. 2 to enter. On Wednesday, Nov. 4, we'll announce the winner of our $40 gift certificate to Archibald's Restaurant. Yum!

Speaking of Winners...
We want to congratulate the winner of last week's Ingredient Guessing Game. But first, let's take a look at the correct answers. Here are just a few of the things our Gardner Village Gals use in their bruja brews:

Gummy Snakes--Eeep!
Chocolate isn't the only thing you'll find at the Chocolate Covered Wagon.

Nose Hair--Yipe!
No, the beading tools at The Bead Farm are NOT meant for this purpose. Silly witches!

Toad-stools--EW!
Sweet baby ducks aren't the only critters found in the Gardner Village waters.

Hair of Bear--Yowza!
Good thing he's of the teddy variety.

Did your guess make the list? Well, even if it didn't, you're qualified. We're delighted to congratulate Teri Bylund! You're the winner of four Six Hags tickets.

"My guess is ground up"Frogs Feet" ooooh Yum! I love Witchopolooza it's Great! I hope to win!"--Teri Bylund

Please email marketing@gardnervillage.com (blog winner in the subject line) for details on claiming your prize. And please do so quickly, as you only have now through Halloween 2015 to use your prize.

Witch Farewell
Alas, the time has come to wish our witches well for another year. They have brooms to catch.

But before they take to the sky...

...let's take a look back at some of the fun had this month.

From photo ops with Village friends...

and whipping up tasty potions...

to a little "friendly" competition on the lawn...

and simply hanging around the shops...

this witch business is tiring work...

But boy is it fun! We've loved celebrating WitchFest 2015 with you! Thanks for making it another year to remember.

See you next year, witchy women!

Cheers!

Witchy Wins-day: Guess the Ingredients (and a Six Hags giveaway!)

When it comes to adding a little hocus to their pocus, the witches at Gardner Village have quite the menu of ingredients. We're not talking flour and eggs here. We're talking creepy, crazy, cooky stuff. All mixed together to create the best of bruja brews.

Your Challenge
Name one ingredient you'll find in an infamous Gardner Village Witch Mix. Remember, these ladies get pretty crazy, which means no guess will be too far off. And you don't have to guess correctly to win on this one. We'll choose our winner at random.

Witches BBQ, too. Wonder what's under that grill of hers. Hmmm...

To Enter Leave your guess as a comment on this post or send an email with your guess to marketing@gardnervillage.com with Bruja Brew in the subject line to be entered. Guesses must be received by Monday, October 26 in order to be entered. And our winner of four Six Hags tickets will be announced on Wednesday, October 28. (You can use your tickets through Halloween.)
Note: No anonymous comments will be entered, as we're unable to determine a winner. Please either leave your name with your comment, send an email, or log in to a Blogger account to be qualified. Thank you!

Just what is this witch whipping up in that pot?

And the Winner Is…
Thanks to all who guessed in our Count the Corns contest. So many of you came very close. But the closest guess goes to Chrissy Robo, who guessed 869. The actual amount of candy corns in this jar (and Brazzilla's nose--eep!) is 876. Wow! Nice guessing, Chrissy!

Please email marketing@gardnervillage.com with "blog winner" in the subject line for details on claiming your prize. Note: You have through Halloween 2015 to use your tickets. Thanks!

Witchy Wins-day: The Great Corn Count (win tickets to Six Hags!)

Welcome back! It's time for another bit of witch trivia. I know you're eagerly awaiting the answer to last week’s question – just what is Encora's catch of the day?

We'll discover the results of our witchin’ fishin' soon enough. But, first

Brazzilla is ready to make a batch of her best corn chowder. How many candy corns does the recipe call for. Hint: It calls for every candy corn contained in this jar + the two in her nose!

Think you know how many candy corns this jar contains? Leave your guess in the comments section of this post or email it to marketing@gardnervillage.com between now and Monday, Oct. 19. The entry that comes the closest will be awarded a four pack of tickets to Six Hags!

Our Witchy Winner
And now, just what did the enchanting Encora catch on her line? We loved reading all of your guesses. How did you know our stream was so full of such witchy wonders? The wonder that was caught this fishing trip: an old umbrella!

The response randomly selected as our winner belongs to Cindy Dickerson.

"I think Encora will catch a Mystic Spell Book" --Cindy Dickerson

Congratulations, Cindy! You have a shopping trip in your future. To claim your $150 gift certificate from Layers (formerly The Village Quilt Shop), email us at marketing@gardnervillage.com with BLOG WINNER in your subject line. Thanks for playing!

Witchy Wins-day: Go Fish! (And a $150 gift certificate giveaway to Layers!)

Ready for a little witchy brewhaha? *insert creep-tastic cackle here* This week, our Witchy Wins-day offers you a little witch trivia.

Question:
Meet Encora. In between catching Broadway shows, she relaxes with a little wtichin' fishin' right here in Gardner Village.

Your Questions: What do you suppose she’ll reel in?

Leave your guess as a comment on this post or email it to marketing@gardnervillage.com for your chance to win.

Note: A winner will be selected at random, which means you don’t have to have the correct guess to win. However, if somebody does happen to guess correctly, the random drawing will not be help and they will automatically be declared the winner. Good luck!

What Do You Win?
Have you heard the news? The Village Quilt Shop has a new name.

Introducing…

...Layers Beautiful Bedding. Where witches (and their pets!) love to shop.

Since this popular Utah shop is about more than quilts, we felt the shop’s name could stand to change. Now it’s more about the numerous layering options available, including sheets, pillows, shams, blankets, and, of course, quilts.

But the layers don’t end with bedding. You’ll also find ways to add layers to your home decor, with stunning furniture and home accent pieces. I recently picked up this sweet lamp for my nursery at Layers. I just love it! And the price was definitely right.

So, in honor of adding a new... ahem, layer to The Village, we’re giving away a quilt to the lucky winner of this post. Technically, it’s a gift certificate for $150, so you can pick out the quilt of your choice. Nice!

How to Enter
Leave your comment (or email) between now and Monday, Oct. 12 for your chance to win. Our lucky reader will be announced in next week’s Witchy Wins-day post.

And the Witchy Wins-day Winner is...
Speaking of winners, we’re tickled to announce the winner of our Be-Witched Bootique witch hat giveaway from last week. It goes to an email entry from Kristin Perkins.

“I get called a witch often (mostly when I drive or tell my kids no). I would love a hat to complete the look.” --Kristin Perkins

Ha! Hard to argue with that logic. Enjoy the new addition to your ensemble, Kristin. Simply email marketing@gardnervillage.com with “blog winner” in the subject line for details on claiming your prize.

Now, I’m off to join my BWFF (best witchy friends forever) for a little fishing. Here’s hoping I catch the big one! After all, you never know what will be pulled out of The Village waters. Bwahahahahaha!

Cheers!
