It's Time For Witches: Auditions, Tickets and More!

August is almost here, and that means only a few weeks until WitchFest begins at Gardner Village! Here are a few upcoming events to prepare for this year's WitchFest:
Witch Auditions
Those of you that have been to any of our witch events know that the witches are the stars of the show. Do you think you have what it takes to be one of our Gardner Village Witches? Auditions take place on August 16, and the deadline to turn in entry forms is August 1. Download your witch application on our website.
Witch Tickets
On August 1, 2014, beginning at noon, tickets go on sale for the Witchapalooza Dinner Theater and Breakfast With A Witch: The Carnival of Witches. The dinner theater show, The Lyin', The Witch & The Warlock, is new to Gardner Village this year. Be one of the first to see it! Younger audiences love Breakfast With A Witch, where they get to dine and have fun with the Gardner Village Witches. Tickets for these events sell out quickly, so make sure to get on the Gardner Village website at noon on August 1 to get your tickets.
Register for Witches' Brew Ha! Ha! 5k Fun Run/Walk
The Second Annual Witches Brew Ha! Ha! 5k run/walk will be on Friday, October 3 this year. Put on your best witchy costume, and enjoy food, t-shirts and prizes. There will be special awards for the top five costumes at the new "post-run Brew Ha! Ha! awards ceremony." For a special $8 discount, register before August 1. This event is hosted by Lone Peak Events, and you can register now on their website.
Mark your calendar for:
  • Witches' Night Out 2014
Back by popular demand, we will be holding our Witches' Night Out event for two weekends again this year. Mark your calendar for October 10-11 and 24-25 for a night out of shopping, dancing, cackling and fun with all your best sister witches. Parking your broom can be hectic this time of year. Due to the huge increase of traffic for Witches Night Out and Wee Witches Weekend, we must hire professional parking attendants. There will be a $5 per car parking fee beginning at 10 am on October 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th. Receive valuable Village coupons when you park. An alternative option to parking would be to take the train. There's a TRAX stop across the street from Gardner Village- the‘Historic Gardner’ stop.
  • Wee Witches Weekend - NEW EVENT!
October 16-18 is a three-day fun festival for the little ones! Work out wiggles at the Wee Witches Playground, enjoy the scavenger hunt, food, music, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting, witchy hair & nails and activities in many of our shops. You may even spot a witch or two. The event will be held Thursday from 10am to 8pm and Friday and Saturday 10am to 9pm.
  • Wee Witches Playground
New to Gardner Village this year, let your little ghouls jump on a giant pillow, climb enchanting spider webs, crawl through the Maze of Mayhem, dance in the witches disco or take a dip in the Candy Corn Pool. $6 per person 1 year old and above. Includes all activities and 1 pillow jump. Additional pillow jumps $2. Visit the playground Monday-Thursday, 10am to 6pm and Friday-Saturday, 10am to 8pm, September 19-October 30.
  • Witch Scavenger Hunt and Witch Displays
A tradition for families at Gardner Village is the Witch Scavenger Hunt. Once you find all the witches, kids 12 and under can take their completed form to the Naborhood Bakery to receive a delicious chocolate chip cookie for only 35¢ (reg. price 95¢). Looking for a group activity? Spend an evening doing the hunt then step inside one of our eateries for a sweet treat to top off your activity. (The caramel apples are delicious at Chocolate Covered Wagon.) Print your Witch Scavenger Hunt forms on our website beginning September 12, 2014.
