The recipe is as simple as 1-2-3!
1. Start with green tomatoes, (these are truly just green tomatoes that have not turned red and not a special type, who knew?). Slice tomatoes in 1/2 inch slices & coat with flour.
2. Dip sliced tomatoes in buttermilk, and bread them with panko bread crumbs.
3. Deep fry for 4 minutes in fryer or cook in frying pan and turn when golden brown.
These delicious appetizers are best served with Fried Green Tomato Sauce.
To make it, just mix equal amounts of ranch dressing and Pace Picante Sauce.
