Designing Jewelry at The Bead Farm

Callie, from The Bead Farm at Gardner Village, wants to give you an inside look of all the creative possibilities in store for you at her shop!

Endless Creativity

Hey there!

Have you thought about designing your own jewelry before? It's fun, easy, and the possibilities are endless!

We have an ocean of beads to choose from at The Bead Farm, no matter what kind of creation you want to fashion.

Covering the Basics

If you are just starting out, we recommend buying four basic tools. This includes a flush cutter, chain nose pliers, crimpers and round nose pliers.

As shown in the photo, the orange tool is the flush cutter, the white is the chain nose, the bright blue is the crimper and the navy blue is the round nose pliers.

Mix and Match - It's all up to you

Here are some of The Bead Farm's
popular trends...

We've found people love muted tones like peach and mint. Aren't these roses adorable?

For younger girls, the brighter the better.

Remember, you can always add a little color!

These rhinestone beads are a resin pave style bead and are a favorite, too.

Notice how we added the rhinestone beads' charm to this necklace?

Shop time for the expert or novice!

Are you interested in learning new techniques or just want some time with your friends to design?

We have Tuesday Night classes and Table Time to accommodate your creative flair!

Table Time is offered at The Bead Farm FREE of charge, as long as all supplies are purchased through the shop. You can choose a project and customize it to your unique taste and style. Here are some designs we have created in the past.

  2. I think it would be fun to tie the rhinestone beads with colored beads and finishing it similarly like the red and turquoise necklaces shown above.

  5. Love statement necklaces... Lots of beads and am totally into the layered trend so long necklaces of small beads with shorter chunkier pieces. Favorite color combos right now are aqua and red and emerald and orange!

  6. I'm having a blast making chunky necklaces for my almost 4-year-old! I love to sew and every time I make her another outfit I can't resist making a necklace to go with it! The rhinestone beads are some of my favorites. I just moved here and haven't been yet, but I can't wait to come in and browse your beads. The Facebook pictures and the the pictures on this blog post are giving me the crazy itch to come down there! :)

  7. I'm very vintage and love classically inspired designs as well as working with gemstones and natural elements. I also love things with a little "quirk" to them. I'm eclectic, eccentric and vintage all wrapped up in one pretty (shiny) bead lady!

To thine own self bead true!

  8. I like statement pieces like the fourth of july necklaces I made last year at the bead farm, or the christmas themed watch bands I made there, or the chain mail flowers. I cant wait to come in to make some bracelets for the newest edition to my family, Princess Hannah.

  40. It is a very fun shop! I remember going there when it first opened && was in bead heaven! I used the beads to accessorize bows && headbands that I made for my new baby girl. I haven't been back in a while. I do live in Bountiful but winning would definitely get me coming back && crafting again. I used to buy the tiny rosette beads. They were metal. So cute. . But lately I've been obsessed with the jumbo pearl & sparkle bead necklaces for little girls! I wanna make a nautical themed one for my little girl so bad now!!
